Daimler AG, a German organization is one of the biggest vehicle (both premium and commercial) manufacturers in the world. Apart from this, the conglomerate has interests in other business fields like automotive financing (financing, insurance, leasing, fleet management), aerospace, automotive technology & even formula1.
Taking into account the Daimler Chrysler Merger that was being portrayed as the game changer for the automobile industry and turned out to be a complete fiasco it can be said that despite of globalization the cultural integration between the two organizations remains a key. Globalization no matter is helping to create subcultures within companies as more and more employees are relocating to different countries and imparting their cultures. But, sill it is very difficult to find a universal management style that suits the palette of both the parties. Hence, it becomes essential to understand the behavioral differences and create a flexible atmosphere where employees get enough time to adjust to the new surroundings.
